At the time of 20 years or 30 years of age, men have about 615 follicles on the scalp per square, and by the age of 30 and 50, this number falls down to 485 an so on with the growing age. Age plays an important role in hair loss in men.

3. Dehydrotesterone – This is the main reason among men behind hair fall. It is also known as ‘DHT’ – it is an active metabolite related to the testosterone hormone and it is formed in the testes, prostate gland, hair follicles and adrenal glands.

4. Hormonal Change – Hair fall can also be caused due to an unbalanced hormonal change in men. When a man ages, they may produce excessive androgen that is responsible behind male baldness.
